Professional Negligence Brings Death to the New Born

Despite the assistance and installation of new equipment in health centers in Afghanistan, the condition of hospitals seems risky and the officials complain of lack of basic necessities at the hospitals. Due to the lack of equipment or possibly lack of concentration of the doctors, many lose their lives and lives of their relatives.

A painful story about a baby was reported in an Afghan magazine. It says that a woman, who was expecting a child, was transferred to hospital by her husband. As the condition of the woman was not good, therefore, she needed an operation. After the operation finished the doctor came to the man and said, “Your wife has given birth to a dead child” and gave him a piece of cloth in which the infant was twisted. Accordingly, thinking it a decision of the fate, the man miserably took the child and went out of the hospital to bury it. Suddenly he felt that something is moving inside the cloth. While opening the cloth, he saw that the baby is moving. Yes, he was alive! The man ran toward the hospital to find the doctor. But unfortunately, the baby had died before the doctor could do anything. The man angrily asked the doctor why he had done so to his innocent child. The doctor proudly answered, “His condition was not so good at the beginning and I knew he would die and we could not help him, here, it is not my fault.”

So whose fault is it? Who is responsible for death of the baby?

This was an example of hundreds of families who sacrifice their family members due to doctors’ negligence or lack of supplies and basic health necessities at the hospitals in the war ravaged Afghanistan.

Ukraine's symbol of popular president given to President Ahmadinejad

Ukraine’s Ambassador presented the Ukrainian Symbol of Popular President to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Iran.
IRNA news agency reports:
“Alexander Samarsky dedicated the symbol to President Ahmadinejad in a meeting to submit his credentials to the President.
Samarsky said that the symbol was a token of the Ukrainians’ respect for popular presidents of other countries.
President Ahmadinejad expressed hope, for his part, that Tehran-Kiev relations would be further expanded during the new ambassador’s tenure.”
Ukraine’s Ambassador ensured Iranian president that his country will stand with him whenever he needs it. Ahmadinejad hoped Ukraine’s Ambassador feel comfortable being in Iran.
It looks that although some groups of people inside and outside of Iran protest against his activities, some other countries and groups of people appreciate him in different ways. As you know, channel D of turkey, which is one of the most famous channels of turkey; introduced Iranian president as one of the international character in 2008. He was introduced beside many other characters like Barack Obama (United State’s president), Muntazirul zaide (journalist who threw shoe on Bush), Nicolas Sarkozy (French President) and many more international figures.
The channel has introduced Ahmadinejad as a character that stood against US. Yes right, he always felt free to condemn US for being brutal against poor countries. And we know he is now more famous because of his Speech to the UN on Sep. 23, 2010.

Nice statements! In general, Politicians have beauty in their words. Attractive concepts are frequently generated in their statements, but the problem is this that while acting they think a lot. Otherwise they are not bad.
Well, as we all saw during his talk, He faced both favorable and unfavorable reactions by the audience where some people were surprised, some called it hateful, some appreciated, and some others left the hall.
Many people said it was offensive while others called him brave, and continued praising him in different ways.
He could be popular amongst Ukraine’s nation, hope soon he makes a better position in his own home as well as neighbors by solving their problems (if he can)and a little bit allowing them rebuild their destroyed properties, breath freely and enjoy thier freedom.

Has President Karzai Voted for Female Hindu Candidate?

Bakhtar News Agency has reported that Afghan President, Hamid karzai has voted in one of the polling centers in Amani high school in Kabul where the president said “Today Afghans according to constitution have the right of vote and by their own hands they assign their future”. He hoped that all Afghans come out and vote for their favorite candidates…
Neither the President nor Bakhtar News Agency has explicated who has President karzai voted for.
Although REUTERS being one of the most investigative news agencies has discovered this fact.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai elected a female, Hindu candidate when he voted in Saturday’s parliamentary election, two palace officials close to him said.

As there were only two Hindu candidates among 600 vying for parliamentary seats in the Afghan capital. Hamid Karzai chose a female Hindu candidate and that was Anar Kali Honaryar.
REUTERS steps forward and researches to know who has President’s wife voted for, but undesirably realizes that she did not go to vote at all.

Karzai’s wife joined the millions of Afghans who did not make it to the polls — although not because of the security concerns or frustration about corruption that kept others away.

The president voted for “female” and a “Hindu”.It means big step towards providing basic democratic rights to women as well as minorities in a conservative country as Afghanistan. Hope his chosen candidate can win a seat and take a part in further achievement of Afghanistan. To hear about this success we may necessitate waiting at least until the end of this month.

"Russia Plans to Send Troops to Afghanistan” Is Russia Really serious?

However in Feb 9th, 2010, Secretary of Russia’s Security Council Nikolai Patrushev said that Russia had no plans to send its troops into Afghanistan.

“We are interested in a stable situation in Afghanistan and liquidation of existing threats by the international force,”

“Russia has no plans to send its troops into that country. But we are ready to participate in the training of military and police personnel,” he added.

But it seems that this plan has expired before completion of at least one year. Now Russia has changed its plan. As it is said that Russia plans to send troops to Afghanistan for the first time after its soldiers withdrawal from Afghanistan in 1989.

Although the plan has not been finalized yet, but still the question arises that how Russia has soon forgotten the tragedy of 20 years back? And how again wants to put its soldiers in that horrible situation?

In 1989, when Gorbachev withdrew its troops from Afghanistan, More than 13,000 Soviet troops perished, a further 100,000 were injured, others were captured, several hundred are still missing.

Is Russia really ready to take another risk?

We see that the former soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev in an interview with BBC (as an advice to present foreigner troops in Afghanistan) has said:
“Victory is impossible in Afghanistan. Obama is right to pull the troops out no matter how difficult it will be,”
“It will be more difficult for America to get out of this situation. But what’s the alternative? Another Vietnam? Sending in half a million troops? That wouldn’t work,” Gorbachev added.
If he really meant so, he had better give such advice to his own country first. Well, we can’t say, maybe he has warned or suggested his own country too, but new generation of Russia looks to be interested in taking another risk in Afghanistan to examine their chance. Or they have seen Afghanistan has changed to a land for chance maker these years.
Well, what is the hidden ambition behind this plan? It really seems mysterious. Nothing is impossible to do in a poor country like Afghanistan.
Afghans have had very bad memories from Russians’ presence and participating in bloody war in this country. I think not only Afghans but also the Russian soldiers won’t be able to forget that horrible war. Hence such bad experience of both sides won’t allow any further promotion of Russian strategies there even if it is counted positive. Possibly, it may worsen the relation between these two countries, which has been rebuilt and mended after the end of such dreadful war.
It’s confusable now, who is to listen to whose advice? And who is to take lesson from whose experience? US from Russia or Russia from US?

The mutilated Afghan girl Aisha got a new nose in Los Angeles

Aysha an afghan woman, whose nose and ears had been cut off by her husband, was taken to California by some charity institution for rebuilding her nose. The surgery was successfully done by non-profit humanitarian Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital in California Where she was also honored with enduring heart award which was given to her by California first lady Maria Shriver, the wife of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“This is the first Enduring Heart award given to a woman whose heart endures and who shows us all what it means to have love and to be the enduring heart,” Ms Shriver said.
As Aysha told media about her life that she had married her husband (who was Taliban fighter) as part of “blood debt” after her uncle killed one of her husband’s relatives. Her nose and ear had been cut off by her husband after she ran away due to being abused by his family.
It is not the only event happening in Afghanistan, hundreds of such cases are reported daily by media. Same case is written in Tolo news about an Afghan woman named Shiba who lives in Zabul. And whose husband cut her nose, her ears and then he fiercely hit her in the mouth and broke her teeth,”
The UN estimates nearly 90 per cent of Afghanistan’s women suffer from some sort of domestic abuse.
However, the Taliban have released a statement rejecting this.
‘The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan rejects this fabrication by the Americans, who are publishing these lies to divert attention of the people from their clear and disgraceful defeat,’ said a spokesman.
‘In sacred Islamic law, cutting off human ears and noses whether the human is alive or dead is illegal and prohibited.’
Woman rights organizations in Afghanistan state insecurity, lack of law enforcement, forced marriages, avoiding female education, some traditions as blood debt are among the main causes of violence against women in Afghanistan.
Woman and children have always been the first victims under any regimes’ disorders and tribulation. Aysha might be among the few lucky women whose voice and pain could be noticed by the world. Thousands of women are still living the life of Aysha or worst than that and are remained unheard.
Hope the situation gets better in Afghanistan as soon as possible and the violence against woman or I should say all humans in Afghanistan comes to an end.

Baktash Siawash to Contest Afghanistan’s Parliamentary Election

Afghanistan’s parliamentary election was to be held before 22 May, according to commission, but due to lack of funds and security concerns was postponed until September 18.
On June 23, 2010, the full list of candidates was announced; 2,577 candidates filed to run, 405 of them women. On July 7, 2010, the Electoral Complaint Commission announced that it had disqualified 36 candidates because of ties to illegal private militias.
On the other hand, beside known faces and characters, we witness many new and fresh personalities in the list of candidates. Baktash Siawash, for instance, who has been an intellectual Afghan journalist and blogger, alongside his writings and blogs, has been TV announcer for Tolo TV, presented programs like کنکاش (Explore), انتخابات 88 (Election 88), and many other desirably. He has been a triumphant journalist, but all of a sudden, he determined that reporting was not the only work he is to do his entire life. Hence, he stood to nominate himself in the parliament.
That is a great job Mr. Siawash, but could you please clarify to us what caused you to turn to politics. However, you have observed and conversed to so many parliament members and other politicians, you have seen a variety of them.
How you got attracted to stand there, and by which one of them have you been impressed? I approximate, there could be one of these reasons: you assessed yourself as being better than them.
OR, you thought that now you are experienced enough to nominate yourself and challenge those whom you have assembled for replying questions in different agenda.
OR you might be impressed by any of them.
No doubt, it is also possible that you truly want to serve in Afghanistan (as all politicians claim)
well, we have no objections, but hope you be the victor and accomplish the job just as you have done being a journalist.
But you may require to keep in mind and be cautious that there is a huge dissimilarity between asking questions and responding to questions.
